Tetoviraju svinje da bi ih skuplje prodali
Uzevši u obzir da se svinje uglavnom uzgajaju za mjesnu industriju, krajnje je besmisleno tetovirati ove životinje i pritom provoditi sate na ovako intrigantnim radovima. Međutim, vjerovali ili ne, tetovirane svinje se prodaju u Kini po nevjerovatnoj cijeni od čak 70.000 dolara.
Ove svinje uglavnom tetoviraju pod anestezijom, a dizajni tetovaža variraju od želja vlasnika i naručilaca – od “Diznijevih” junaka do loga “Luja Vitona” i ostalih poznatih dizajnera. Neke svinje tetoviraju i tetovažama koje su popularne među zatvorenicima.
Na jednoj svinji obično rade tri tatu majstora, a kasnije ona dobija pun tretman koji podrazumijeva masažu i hidrataciju kože.
Nakon što životinje uginu, njihove kože prodaju kolekcionarima za hiljade dolara. Primjera radi, jedna takva koža je prodata jednoj modnoj kući i od nje su navodno napravljene dvije torbe.
Prema riječima belgijskog tatu majstora Vima Delvojea, koji je idejni tvorac ovog neobičnog trenda, svinje nisu izložene nikakvom zlostavljanju, već ih tretiraju do granice razmaženosti. On je ovaj neobični trend započeo 1997. godine, ali je odlučio da cio posao preseli u Kinu, gdje zakoni nisu toliko striktni kao u Evropi.
Uprkos njegovim tvrdnjama da životinje ne trpe nikakav bol, tokom posljednjih godina suočio se s ozbiljnim kritikama aktivista za zaštitu životinja. Oni su uvjereni da svinje pate, i da ih oni maltretiraju samo u komercijalne svrhe.
“I svinje, baš poput kokošaka i krava, su veoma emotivne i osjećaju sve što bi osjetili i ljudi”, izjavio je portparol PETA. On je dodao da je tetoviranje životinja okrutnost, zbog čega su svinje sigurno uplašene i zbunjene. “Talentovani umjetnici ne rade svoja djela na jadnim životinjama”, kaže portparol PETA.
Međutim, tatu majstor tvrdi da optužbe jednostavno nisu opravdane. “Umjetnost je nešto što mora da fascinira ljude. A, kada ste bez ideje, onda teško da nekoga možete fascinirati”, kaže on.
