Haški osuđenik general Sreten Lukić na slobodi
Nakon odložene više od dvije trećine kazne zbog ratnih zločina nad kosovskim Albancima, policijski general Sreten Lukić pušten je ih haškog pritvora. Iako je ranije bilo pravilo da osuđeni ratni zločinci napuštaju zatvor poslije izdržane dvije trećine kazne, posljednjih godina to i nije slučaj.
Upravo je Lukić to osjetio, kako se kaže, na svojoj koži, jer mu je dvotrećinska kazna istekla u maju 2019. a pušten je „tek“ sada. On je iz Poljske, gdje je izdržavao kaznu od 20 godina zatvora, vraćen u sudski pritvor u Sheveningen u januaru ove godine jer je po zakonima te zemlje izdržao maksimalnu kaznu od 15 godina zatvora za zločine za koje je osuđen.
Tada je sudija Karmel Ađijus, predsjednik Međunarodnog rezidualnog mehanizam za krivične sudove, nasljednika Haškog tribunala, naveo da će Lukić samo privremeno biti u haškom pritvoru dok se ne pronađe druga evropska zemlja u kojoj će odslužiti ostatak kazne. Međutim, Lukić već sada slobodno šeta ulicama Beograda.
Sreten Lukić je rođen 28. marta 1955. godine u opštini Višegrad, u Bosni i Hercegovini. Prema dostupnim informacijama, zaposlio se 1974. u sektoru unutrašnjih poslova gdje je obavljao razne dužnosti.
Na mjesto pomoćnika načelnika za poslove policije Sekretarijata unutrašnjih poslova u Beogradu postavljen je 1992. godine. Za načelnika Štaba MUP Srbije na Kosovu imenovan je 1. juna 1998. kada je dobio čin general-majora. U general-potpukovnika imenovan je ukazom predsjednika Srbije u maju 1999. godine. Haški tribunal podigao je optužnicu protiv Lukića 2003.
On se dobrovoljno predao Tribunalu dvije godine kasnije. Za vrijeme rata na Kosovu bio je načelnik Štaba MUP-a Srbije.
Prvostepenom presudom Tribunala, koji ga je teretio za prisilno premještanje, deportacije, ubistva i progon albanskog stanovništva sa Kosova, osuđen je 2013. na 22 godine zatvora. Lukiću je kazna pravosnažnom presudom smanjena za dvije godine.
Inače, sa njim su pravosnažno bili osuđeni i bivši potpredsjednik vlade SRJ Nikola Šainović (18 godina zatvora), bivši komandant Treće armije Vojske Jugoslavije Nebojša Pavković (22 godine zatvora), komandant Prištinskog korpusa general Vladimir Lazarević (14 godina zatvora), i načelnik Generalštaba VJ Dragoljub Ojdanić (15 godina zatvora), dok je krivice oslobođen poslije prvostepenog suđenja bivši predsjednik Srbije Milan Milutinović.
U zatvoru se još jedino nalazi Nebojša Pavković. Lukićev rođak je zloglasni Milan Lukić, koji izdržava kaznu doživotnog zatvora zbog monstruoznih zločina u Višegradu.
