Dok čekamo otvaranje prve dionice auto-puta u Crnoj Gori, duge 41 kilometar između Podgorice i Kolašina i planiramo nastavak gradnje, Srbija ubrzano gradi svoj dio koji će spojiti Beograd i Bar.
Kompletna trasa auto-puta predstavlja pravi infrastrukturni poduhvat sa više desetina mostova, tunela, a o kompleksnosti projekta svjedoči i to što se na auto-putu drastično mijenja i nadmorska visina, te će se vozači u nekom trenutku nalaziti na 63 metara nadmorske visine, a na sljedećoj dionici će biti i na 1.100 metara, piše Srbija danas i dodaje da će projektovane brzine na dionici kroz Crnu Goru biti 100 kilometara na čas, a kroz Srbiju od 80 do 130 kilometara na čas, u zavisnosti od terena.

Putanju od Beograda do Boljara, Srbija je u velikoj mjeri uradila. U novembru 2016. godine otvorena je dionica Ljig – Preljina od 40 kilometara, dok je dio od Obrenovca do Čačka završen u avgustu 2019. Dionica od Preljine do Požege još je u izgradnji, a rok za njen završetak zakazan je za januar 2022. godine, a vrijednost radova je 450 miliona eura. Ostala je da se uradi i najteža dionica puta, a to je 107 kilometara od Požege do crnogorske granice.
Crna Gora planira da naredne godine nastavi gradnju auto-puta, krak prema Srbiji, od Mateševa do Andrijevice, koja je procijenjena na oko 400 miliona eura.
Projekcija je da će se crnogorski i srpski auto-put na granici sastaviti u narednih pet godina.
