Američki predsjednik Donald Tramp obratio se naciji nakon što je Pfizerova vakcina dobila odobrenje za hitnu upotrebu Agencije za hranu i lijekove (FDA). Vakcinu je nazvao medicinskim čudom i jednim od najvećih naučnih otkrića u historiji.
“Imam veoma dobre vijesti. Danas je naša nacija postigla medicinsko čudo. Napravili smo sigurnu i efikasnu vakcinu za samo devet mjeseci. Ovo je jedno od najvećih naučnih dostignuća i uspjeha u historiji. Spasit će milione života i uskoro završiti pandemiju, jednom zauvijek”, poručio je Tramp, piše Klix.ba.
Kazao je kako je novac dat Pfizeru i drugima za razvoj vakcine bio uspješan i da su se nade isplatile.
“U ime svih Amerikanaca želim se zahvaliti brilijantnim naučnicima, ljekarima i svima ostalima koji su radili na ovome. Ove vakcine su veoma sigurne. Veliki broj Amerikanaca je učestvovao u kliničkim ispitivanjima koja su veća od uobičajenih. Ova vakcina je prošla zlatni standard sigurnosti FDA”, dodao je.
Tramp je poručio kako je ponosan što će vakcina vakcina biti besplatna za sve Amerikance.
“Već smo krenuli u distribuciju. Prve vakcine će biti dostavljene unutar 24 sata. Kada se virus pojavio obećao sam da ćemo proizvesti vakcinu do kraja godine i sada smo ispunili taj cilj”, rekao je.
