U Glavnom gradu Podgorica je danas zaključeno prvo istopolno životno partnerstvo između državljanki Crne Gore i Bosne i Hercegovine. Matičari Sekretarijata za lokalnu samoupravu su partnerke upoznali sa pravima i obavezama, shodno odredbama Zakona o partnerstvu lica istog pola, nakon čega su partnerke dale saglasnost za sklapanje partnerstva.
Podsjećamo, Sekretarijat za lokalnu samoupravu je ranije preduzeosve neophodne korake u cilju adekvatne implementacije Zakona, te su matičari Glavnog grada pohađali seminare i obuke na tu temu, koje je organizovala crnogorska LGBTQ asocijacija Queer Montenegro i nevladina organizacija Juventas. Zapošljeni u Sekretarijatu upoznali su se sa detaljima o polnom i rodnom indetitetu, značenjima termina i pravima pripadnika LGBTIQ zajednice, te su bez poteškoća pristupili sklapanju ovih životnih partnerstava.
