Djevojka se spalila na svoj 18. rođendan jer nije dobila telefon od oca!
Nakon što joj je otac saopštio da joj nije kupio mobilni telefon za 18. rođendan, djevojka je otišla u svoju sobu gdje je počinila samoubistvo samospaljivanjem.
Malathi (18) iz Kolathura, Indija, slavila je rođendan sa rodbinom i prijateljima, kada je posle ispraćaja gostiju saznala od oca da joj nije kupio telefon na poklon i da će to učiniti tek sledećeg mjeseca, zbog toga što, kako je naveo, trenutno nema dovoljno novca. Djevojka je tada otišla u svoju sobu gdje se zaključala i spalila se,prenosi Blic.
– Otac je pokušao da joj objasni da će joj obećani poklon kupiti sledećeg mjeseca, pošto trenutno nema dovoljno novca. Ona se nakon toga zaključala u sobi i spalila se. Porodica je upala unutra i prevezla je u bolnicu Kilpak medikal koledž, ali je ona tamo preminula od posljedica zadobijenih povreda – potvrdila je policija.
Kako se navodi, ona je insistirala da dobije telefon nakon što je vidjela svoje prijatelje da kače fotografije i statuse na društvenim mrežama, dok je ocu rekla da bi preko telefona mogla da razmejnjuje materijal za učenje sa kolegama iz grupe sa fakulteta.
Istragom i razgovorom sa roditeljima policija je saznala da njen otac nije želio da ona posjeduje telefon.
