Bil i Melinda Gejts i zvanično su okončali brak.
Osnivač Majkrosofta, Bil Gejts, i zvanično se rastao od Melinde Frenč Gejts, koosnivača “Majkrosofta”. Brak je okončan na sudu u Sijetlu u ponedjeljak. Podsjetimo, prvi put su o razvodu govorili u maju 2021. godine.
Zahtjev za razvod podnijela je Melinda, a kao razlog navela je da je njihov brak “nepopravljivo uništen”. I prije parnice su postigli dogovor o podjeli imovine, ali su najavili i da će zajedno nastaviti svoj filantropski rad.
Mnogo je nagađanja o stvarnom razlogu razvoda – jedan je navodna prevara Bila Gejtsa, a kao ljubavnica je označena Ze “Šeli” Vang.
Takođe, novinar Džejms Volas (74) koji je tokom 90-ih napisao dvije knjige o osnivaču Majkrosofta iznio je pojedine detalje o raskalašnoj strani Bila Gejtsa.
“Iako je Gejts počeo da se zabavalja sa Melindom još 1988. godine, još neko vrijeme flertovao je sa drugim ženama, pogotovo kada je bio na službenom putu. Redovno se udvarao novinarkama koje su pratile poslovanje “Majkrosoft”. Bilo je opšte poznato da je ženskaroš, iako se o tome malo pisalo, jer su Gejts i “Majkrosoft” bili nepresušan izvor informacija i dobrih priča za novinare poput “New York Times” i niko nije želio da se sa tim prestane. Melinda je sve to odlično znala, njihova veza bila je puna uspona i padova. U jednom trenutku prekinuli su vezu na godinu dana, navodno jer on nije želio da se obaveže. Kada su se 1992. opet zbližili, njihova je veza bila čvršća nego ikada”, ispričao je Volas.
Inače, Melinda i Bil Gejts vjenčali su se 1994. godine i imaju troje djece, a samo se Dženifer Gejts oglasila na temu razvoda roditelja.
