ODLAZAK LEGENDE: Preminuo Kirk Daglas
Kirk Daglas, jedan od najpopularnijih američkih glumaca i prava legenda Holivuda, preminuo je u 103. godini života. Vijest o njegovoj smrti potvrdio je njegov sin, takođe filmska zvezda Majkl Daglas.

Za svijet je on bio legenda, glumac iz zlatnog doba filmova koji je živio duboku starost, humanitarac čija je predanost pravdi i ciljevima u koje je vjerovao postavila standard kakvom svi mi težimo.
Ipak, za mene i moju braću bio Džoela i Pitera on je bio samo Tata, za Ketrin divan svekar, za svoje unuke i praunuke voljeni djed, a za svoju ženu Anu divni suprug.
Kirk je živio dobar život i ostavio je iza sebe naslijeđe u filmskoj umjetnosti za generacije koje dolaze, kao i život filantropa koji je radio pomogne drugima i da donese mir svijetu.

Dozvolite mi da završim riječima koje sam mu rekao za njegov posljednji rođendan i koje će uvijek ostati tačne “Tata, mnogo te volim i toliko sam ponosan sam što sam tvoj sin””, poručio je Majkl Daglas.
Biografija
Od početka filmske karijere 1946. godine, Kirk Daglas ostvario je više od 90 filmskih uloga, a ostaće poznat, između ostalog, po filmovima “Šampion”, “Žudnja za životom”, “Obračun kod OK korala”, “Staze slave”, “Posljednji voz sa Gan Hila”, “Spartak”.
Iako je tri puta je nominovan za nagradu Oskar za glavnu mušku ulogu, 1950. za film “Šampion”, 1953. za ulogu u filmu “Loši i lijepi” i 1957. godine za film “Žudnja za životom”, Daglasu je tek 1996. godine dodijeljen počasni Oskar za životno djelo.
Kirk Daglas rođen je 9. decembra 1916. godine kao Išur Danielovič u gradu Amsterdamu, u saveznoj državi Njujork, u siromašnoj porodici jevrejskih imigranata iz Gomelja, u današnjoj Bjelorusiji.
U mladosti je radio najrazličitije poslove da bi prehranio sebe i porodicu, između ostalog i kao prodavac, raznosač novina, domar i rvač na vašaru.
Glumeći u srednjoškolskim predstavama, shvatio je da želi da postane glumac, a njegov talenat prepoznala je i njujorška Američka akademija dramskih umetnosti koja mu je dodijelila specijalnu stipendiju.
Prije nego što se 1941. godine pridružio američkoj mornarici, ime Izi Demski, koje je do tada koristio, zvanično je promijenio u Kirk Daglas.
