PRIJETI MU DOŽIVOTNA ROBIJA: Kotoranin priznao krivicu za šverc kokaina
Kotoranin Vladimir Penda (27), jedan od članova posade broda MSC Gajan koji je uhapšen zbog sumnje da je učestvovao u jednoj od najvećih operacija krijumčarenja droge u istoriji SAD-u, priznao je juče krivicu pred sudijom Okružnog suda u Pensilvaniji. Kotoraninu prijeti doživotna kazna zatvora, javlja CdM.
Penda, koji je radio na brodu MSC Gayane kao četvrti brodski inženjer, se 2019. je sa ostalim optuženim krijumčarenje kokaina. U više navrata, tokom putovanja MSC Gajanom, članovi posade, uključujući Penda, pomagali su ukrcavanje kokaina na plovilo iz glisera. Članovi posade koristili su dizalicu da bi na brod podigli teretne mreže pune kokaina, a zatim drogu spremali u razne kontejnere, piše u dokumentu koji je objavio američki sud.
Podsjetimo, federalni agenti su u junu prošle godine, na brodu MSC Gajen u Filadelfiji, pronašli oko 20 tona kokaina, čija je vrijednost procijenjena na preko 1, 3 milijarde dolara.
Tužioci su neprekidno radili na ovom slučaju, dodaje se u dokumentu.
Odmah po pronalaženju droge na brodu, uhapšen je i Budvanin Ivana Đurašević i Fonofave Tijasagu, koji su radili na brodu. Oni su priznali da su tokom noći dobili nalog da sa 14 čamaca na brod pretovare džakove u kojima je bio kokain. Potom je došlo i do hapšenja crnogroskih državaljana Boška Markovića (37), Aleksandra Kavaje (25) i Nenada Ilića (39) iz Crne Gore.
