Prema prvim saznanjima, majka je bebe (2015. i 2016.) godište ostavila same u kući i izašla po drva. Dječak je, navodno, dozivao majku ali ona nije smjela da uđe zbog vatre
Prema nezvaničnim informacijama, uviđaj na mjestu nesreće izvršio je sektor za vanredne situacije. Uzrok požara još uvijek nije poznat.
