Tri doze Fajzera neutrališu Omikron?
Kompanije “Biontek” i “Fajzer” saopštile su danas da je serija od tri doze njihove vakcine protiv kovida 19 uspjela da neutrališe omikron soj virusa korona u laboratorijskim testovima i da mogu da unaprijede vakcinu u martu 2022. godine ukoliko to bude potrebno.
Njemačka i američka kompanija navode da dvije doze njihove vakcine rezultuju znatno manjim nivoom neutrališućih antitijela, ali da treća buster doza podiže nivo antitijela faktorom 25.
“Prva linija odbrane, sa dvije doze vakcine, može biti kompromitovana, a tri doze vakcine su neophodne za obnavljanje zaštite”, saopštio je šef “Bionteka” za medicinska pitanja Ozlem Tuereči.
Kompanije navode da dvije doze vakcine i dalje štite od težeg oblika bolesti.
Direktor “Bionteka” Ugur Sahin izjavio je da bi države mogle da razmisle o skraćivanju perioda između druge i treće doze vakcine da bi se suzbila nova varijanta virusa.
On je ukazao na primjer Velike Britanije, koja je nedavno skratila na tri mjeseca period između druge i treće doze vakcine.
