Glavna naučnica Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) Soumya Swaminathan pozdravila je to što se vlade počinju već sada pripremati za prelazak iz pandemije koronavirusa u endemsko (trajno) stanje, ali je ukazala da nije moguće da jedna zemlja pređe na endemsko stanje, a da je ostatak svijeta usred pandemije.

“Ne znamo kada i gdje će se pojaviti novi soj”, upozorila je Swaminathan za njemački dnevnik Handelsblatt.
