ZBOGOM, LEGENDO: Preminuo slavni jugoslovenski fudbaler
U švajcarskom Sent Galenu u četvrtak 28. septembra u 82. godini preminuo je osvajač zlatne medalje na OI u Rimu 1960. Željko Perušić.
Željko Perušić rođen je 23. marta 1936. godine u Dugoj Resi gdje sa 14 godina počinje da igra za juniorsku selekciju, a kasnije i za seniore za koju je nastupao do 1956. godine kada prelazi u zagrebački Dinamo.
Potom je sa velikim uspijehom branio boje Minehna 1860, kao i švajcarskog Sent Galena. Karijeru je završio u luksemburškom Vaducu.
Perušić je nastupio na Olimpijskim igrama 1960. godine u Rimu i bio je član jogoslovenske reprezentacije koja je osvojila zlatnu olimpijsku medalju. Iste je godine osvojio i srebrenu medalju u Parizu na prvom Kupu nacija, preteči Evropskog prvenstva.
Za reprezentaciju Jugoslavije odigrao je 27 utakmica, a po završetku igračke karijere Željko Perušić ostao je da živi u Sent Galenu u kojem je proveo poslednje dane života.
