OBIČAJI NA DANAŠNJI PRAZNIK: Ako se uzdržite od OVOGA, ispuniće vam se svaka želja
Crkva i vjernici danas slave sjećanje na prepodobnog Aksentija, hrišćanskog svetitelja koji je živio u 5. vijeku prvo u Carigradu, a potom i na gori blizu Halkidona.
Predanje kaže da je prepodobni Aksentije bio veoma bogati vlastelin u Carigradu u vrijeme cara Teodosila Mlađeg. Ipak, u jednom trenutku riješio je da to sve odbaci – zamonašio se i potpuno povukao iz javnog života.
Ipak, kada ljudi počeše da govore o njemu kao o velikom čudotvorcu i velikom mudracu, on pobježe od ljudskih pohvala iz Carigrada i nastani se na jednoj gori blizu Halkidona, koja se poslije prozva Aksentijeva gora.
Prema priči, Aksentije ni tu dugo nije ostao skriven od ljudi… Pronašli su ga neki čobani, a kako se i u tim krajevima pročuo kao veliki čudotvorac, ubrzo narod krete da dolazi i da mu dovoditi bolesnike na iscjeljenje.
I on iscijeli mnoge – slijepome povrati vid, gubave očisti, otjera demone iz zaposjednutih… Sve ovo, činio je u ime Hrista i naročito pazio da se čuda ne pripišu njemu nego Bogu. Predanje kaže da je mnoge iscijelio upravo tako što bi u njima učvrstio hrišćansku ljubav i onda im govorio da će im Bog dati po vjeri i pravdi uz riječi: “Iscjeljuje te Gospod Isus Hristos!”
Prepodobni Aksentije je učestvovao na IV vaseljenskom saboru u Halkidonu i zabilježeno je da je tamo silno štitio pravoslavlje od jeresi Evtihijeve i Nestorijeve.
Nakon svega toga, već u dubokoj starosti, Aksentije je preminuo 470. godine. Srpska pravoslavna crkva slavi ga 14. februara po crkvenom, a 27. februara po gregorijanskom kalendaru.
Zato što je prepodobni Aksentije čitav život proveo u molitvi i, iako je često bio okružen ljudima koji su tražili njegovu pomoć, zapravo čeznuo za osamom, u nekim krajevima stariji kažu da na današnji praznik svako treba da se uzdrži od skitanja i da dan provede kod kuće i pored porodice.
Jedino mjesto koje svaki vjernik treba da obiđe je crkva gdje u znak sjećanja na prepodobnog Aksentija treba da zapali svijeću i izgovori ovu molitvu:
“Kao pustinjski žitelj i u tijelu Anđeo i čudotvorac, pokazao si se bogonosni oče naš Avksentije. Postom, bdenjem i molitvama, nebeske darove si primio, iscjeljujući bolesti onih koji ti sa vjerom dolaze. Slava Onome koji ti je dao snagu, koji te je proslavio i koji kroz tebe daruje svima iscjeljenje.”
Vjeruje se da će svaka želja koju u tom trenutku poželite biti ispunjena.
