Valentin je rođen GLUV, a danas osvaja medalje za ples!
Iako je rođen sa velikim oštećenjem sluha, Valentin Horvat (17) iz Subotice od djetinjstva niže uspjehe na plesnom podijumu.
Valentinu je prije 11 godina ugrađen kohlearni implantant, i od tada ni u čemu ne zaostaje za svojim vršnjacima. Plesom se bavi od osme godine, voli muziku, a hobi mu je i fotografija.
Majka Viktorija Horvat je teško podnijela činjenicu da njen jedinac ne čuje, ali je smogla snage i zajedno sa suprugom započela tešku borbu za djetetov sluh.
– Da Valentin ne čuje su prve primijetile vaspitačice u jaslicama kada je imao manje od godinu dana. Lupale su u tacnu i tapšale, a on nije reagovao. Ljekari su mislili da je uzrok gluvoće treći krajnik, ali poslije operacije krajnika, negativni rezultati potvrdili su veliko oštećenje, a već je imao godinu i po dana – priča majka Viktorija.
U trudnoći je imala visok pritisak i porodila se 11 dana ranije, a kada je ugledao svet 1999. godine Valentin je imao žuticu i visok nivo bilirubina. Ljekari su rekli da je sve u redu i da će dodatno sunčanje pomoći, ali pošto se žutilo nije povlačilo, roditelji su potražili pomoć pedijatra…
– Saznali smo da je bila neophodna biopsija jetre koja se radi samo na Dedinju i tek kasnije nam je rečeno da je moguće da su izostanak pojedinih analiza i bilirubin bili uzroci oštećenja sluha – priseća se Viktorija.
Valentin je pet godina išao na terapije u Somboru, u vrtiću u kome se radilo sa djecom koja imaju oštećeni sluh.
– Prije polaska u prvi razred, 2005. godine, u Beogradu su nam ponudili ugradnju implantanta, što me je uplašilo, ali kada nam je profesor Nenad Arsović sve objasnio, znali smo da nemamo šta da izgubimo i zato smo mu mnogo zahvalni – kaže Viktorija.
Višesatna operacija je mnogo uplašila majku. Ipak, posle nje dijete je počelo nevjerovatnom brzinom da razvija govor, a na zvukove koji su ga u početku plašili je počeo da se navikava i ubrzo je postao dijete koje voli da sluša muziku i osluškuje prirodu.
– Naša borba se zaista isplatila. Implantant je nešto izvanredno i Valentinu je otvorio novi svijet – ponosna je Viktorija Horvat, ali ponekad i ljuta na sina kada namerno isključi aparat jer ne želi da sluša majku i oca. Kaže da je uvjerena da je njen sin dobro i da se više ne osjeća manje vrijednim.
Operisan u poslednji čas
– Najvažnije je otkriti oštećenje sluha što ranije. Moj Valentin je već bio na granici da ne može da se operiše. Aparati kojima se provjerava sluh odmah po rođenju potrebni su svim porodilištima, jer ako se odmah po rođenju krene u liječenje i ugradnju implantanta, oporavak je brz i djeca na vreme mogu početi da razvijaju govor – kaže Viktorija Horvat.
