Požari bijesne u Grčkoj, Turskoj, Italiji… turiste i mještane evakuišu čamcima (FOTO/VIDEO)
Desetine uspaničenih turista i lokalnih stanovnika u Grčkoj, Italiji i Turskoj evakuisani su ovog vikenda čamcima i brodovima dok šumski požari haraju u te tri zemlje.
Vatrogasci Sicilije su u subotu gasili požare podstaknute novim talasom vrućine, a guverner regiona zatražio je pomoć od Rima, piše Euronews.com. Oko 150 ljudi koji su bili zarobljeni u dva obalska područja u gradu Katanija evakuisani su kasno u petak morskim putem. Oni su pokupljeni gumenim čamcima i prebačeni u brodove italijanske Obalske straže.
Šumski požari koji su u subotu izbili na zapadnom Peloponezu prisilili su grčke vlasti da evakuišu četiri sela, kao i turiste sa plaža.
Vatra je izbila u planinskoj šumi, oko 30 km istočno od Patrasa, izjavio je ministar za zaštitu građana Mihalis Hrisohoidis.
Vatra se, potpomognuta jakim vJetrom, spustila do mora. Stanovnicima četiri sela – dva na obali i dva u brdima – upućene su poruke da se evakuišu. U gašenje je uključeno 290 vatrogasaca, osam aviona, sedam helikoptera i specijalni brod, kojim su evakuisani ljudi sa plaža.
Zbog požara je zatvoren put Atina-Patras, kao i most Rio-Antirio. U poslednja 24 sata, u Grčkoj je izbilo 56 požara, čije gašenje otežavaju suvo vrIJeme, talas vrućine i jaki vJetrovi.
Uplašeni turisti iz Turske požurili su na obalu da sačekaju spasilačke brodove nakon što su neki hoteli u Bodrumu evakuisani zbog opasnosti od obližnjih požara.
Operaciju evakuacije je vodila Obalska straža a vlasti su zatražile od vlasnika privatnih brodova i jahti da pomognu u naporima. Broj žrtava u turskom mediteranskom gradu u subotu se popeo na šest, nakon što su poginula dvojica šumara.
Od srijede su u požarima širom Turske uništene šume i određeni broj naseobina, a vatra se približila selima i turističkim odmaralištima što je primoralo ljude na evakuaciju. Ministar poljoprivrede i šumarstva Bekir Pakdemirli rekao je u subotu da je pod kontrolu svedeno 88 od 98 požara, koji su izbili uslijed jakih vjetrova i visoke temperature.
